I just accidentally deleted, and
shredded (to actually do both by accident is incredibly idiotic), the folder on my computer that I used to make the DVD of all our college dance performances. This file had all the video files that I used to create that DVD- files that took me weeks to rip from VHS tapes and camcorders, weeks to edit; a DVD that took weeks to design! All that time and effort. Even more, all those memories- gone. Well, gone from my computer that is. While I have 1 or 2 copies of the actual DVD burned with Lana, it was nice having all the files on my PC, and now I can't even open up the program I used to create it and burn a new copy. We are going to try and salvage the videos from those 1 or 2 DVDs we do have- try to at least get the videos back onto a PC, although I have no idea how or if that is possible. I've been shredding unnecessary files due to a shortage of space on my laptop, and this time around, I was wondering why the process was taking so dang long. Only about 2 hrs. later did I realize why. What makes it even worse, is that I put out a whole lot of money to buy a 500 GB external hard drive to backup my
entire computer. I even bought backup software! I was supposed to get that done the night I came back to Dominica, but school has kept me so busy. What a waste. Please excuse my initial shock and how utterly upset I am at myself, but today is a sad day. I've been frustrated enough academically (man, "frustrated" is such an understatement), so to have this happen.. talk about adding insult to injury

there are a lot of recovery programs out there if you don't write on your drive a lot good chance you can get a bit of it back recuva is a free one, check it out
