  • Lord, please help me not to be foolish again by forgetting your promises, only to end up in depression. Please make me into an even stronger man. But most importantly now, I lift up the woman I love most in the whole entire world, the one I want to spend the rest of my life making happy. Please comfort her, and remind her that our future is in Your hands, and that a life in You entails abundancy, peace, joy, and true happiness. Take away the despair and hopelessness, and replace it with your faithful promises. I love her Lord.... Please change their hearts. I need You to send Your Holy Spirit down to work Father. I humbly ask for a miracle. We are at Your loving mercy....

As for every other battle I am fighting, would it be too much to ask you for miracles in those areas too?  Forgive me Lord for my sins and shortcomings, my weaknesses and flaws. I will do my part by Your grace. I need You Lord....

And I know we aren't the only ones in the fire. So I lift up every single soul undergoing trials, tribulations, and attacks. My heart aches at the suffering all around me. But I know there is hope beyond the pain. Please help us to see that, to see You and only You. We are called to praise You at all times....

Let us know that You hear us
    Let us feel Your touch
Let us know that You love us
    Let that be enough

Your love will do wonders.. I know it*

           Amen.

Psalm 31:7: I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities.

You thought you were suffering alone.

The bills have been mounting. Your health has been shakey. Family problems eat away at your peace of mind. World conditions have made you worried. Your job isn't all that secure. And your savings are being depleted.

    Take heart

    God knows.

He also knows the state of your spiritual life. And intends that these burdens build you up in the faith. Matthew Henry has written: "God looks upon our souls, when we are in trouble, to see whether they are humbled for sin, and made better by the affliction. Every believer will meet with such dangers and deliverances, until he is delivered from death, his last enemy."

    C. H. Spurgeon said, "Trials are the ballast of life. The burdened vessel may sail slowly, but she sails safely. Without the ballast of trial men are apt to blow over. Ballast yourself with sympathy, if you have no trials of your own.

Since God has considered your troubles... knows them, it is certain that they have not taken Him by surprise. Nothing slips up on God. And we belong to Him. He will not allow us to face more than we can bear. Henry Ward Beecher concluded: "No physician ever weighed out medicine to his patients with half so much care and exactness as God weighs out to us every trial, Not one grain too much does He ever permit to be put in the scale."

    Rejoice. He knows and cares!

    THE TRYING OF YOUR FAITH
James chapter one, verses three and four says: “Knowing this: That the trying of your faith worketh patience…” Now, the tryings of your faith are those irritations, those inponderables, those incapacities that are that I'm talking about. Those inconveniences, those trials, those tears, those tribulations. “Knowing this: that the trying of your faith worketh patience; but let patience have her perfect work that you may be perfect.” You know what the word “perfect” means? It means mature. What does God want out of you? God wants you to be a full-grown Christian. He wants you to be mature. You see, the Bible says God wants to bring you to the fullness of Christ. And the way God does that is to allow you to have trials and tribulations in order that you might be mature. Are children patient? Of course not. Anybody who has children knows that children don't know the difference between no and not yet. Isn't that right? They don't know the difference. If you just said wait a while, to them, that is no. They want it-now! You see, we're like little children. Tribulation brings patience, and patience makes us mature.

  • Once again awesome!!! :) You are right! You arent the only one in the fire! I have been waking up lately, and which i plan on doing for the rest of my life dedicating my day to the Lord, every aspect of it! I ask the Lord to help me die to my flesh daily as Paul said that he did! Looking back I have began to understand that a big reason that the Lord allows us to go through the trials is to make us understand our dependancy on Him. If he didnt allow these thigns to happen then we would get a big head and think that we are doing it on our own when we arent. We were created by him and we cant live without him! We must become totally dependant on Him! Sure its hard and I wish that we wouldnt have to go through the trials, but Im glad that I am learning that I am nothing without my Lord and I need Him in every aspect of my life! God Bless and Ill talk to ya soon! :)        ~Kat
